Why is Avon's Ultra Color Bold Lipstick different

Lipsticks have brought about a revolutionary change in makeup and the way ladies look. A good lipstick when worn properly with matching outfits and complementing makeup, enhances your look by many folds. I tried Avon’s Ultra Color Bold Lipstick and fell for this absolutely fab lippi!

Avon Ultra Color Bold Lipstick

The product claims to have 50% more pigments packed into every lipstick that gives saturated intense color. The lipstick also has True Color Technology which says that the colors that you see on the lipstick is actually what you get on your lips. (Unlike other brands where the lipstick color appears different when applied on lips).

Initially I was apprehensive about using such bold intense colors on my lips. However, when I used it, my inhibitions proved wrong. The application is smooth as the lipstick has creamy texture. Lips don’t shine with this lipstick. Color glides on evenly, imparting a soft feel.





The color stayed on my lips without bleeding. (Mind you, I did not outline my lips with a lip liner)

The first picture on left was taken around 8:30 am. The lip color (Ultra Color Bold in Ruby Shock) stayed and looked as good as before even at 2 pm after lunch! Perhaps it is the saturated pigment that makes the color last on your lips.

The entire pallet has bright pop shades which are quite in these days.  The neon shades make your face bright while giving your makeup a youthful feel. This lipstick is a perfect balance of moisture and pop.

When you take the color off, your lips don't chap. Ultra Color lipstick is a must have lipstick for all lovely ladies out there.

For natural looking lips, try Bare Impact (brown shade) and Starburst Pink (lightest pink)

I loved the orange base colors of Bright Nectar (Light orange) and Coral Burst (darker one)  which is suitable for medium complexion.

Below are the other pretty shades of Bold lipstick from left to right- Fearless fuchsia, magenta flash, coffee crush, starburst pink and hi def plum.

I rate it 4 on 5 because the colors stay for long, the shades are bright & pop, have a creamy texture and moisturizing base.

The packaging could have been sleeker for a smarter look, though The current packaging is still okay. The only turn off for me was no SPF. Rest, this lipstick is indeed a head turner and a must have for all seasons, especially for the dull weather.

Priced at Rs. 465, the current offer price of Bold lipstick is Rs. 365. Totally worth buying. You might get it at a lower price from your Avon representative. Call your Avon rep now and order the lipstick.

Avon's brand Naturals has a huge variety of skin care and personal care products to choose from. I love Naturals for the blend of natural ingredients and gentle care it provides.

Milk & Honey HBL

Naturals always offers products that you instantly fall in love with. Naturals Milk & Honey Hand & Body Lotion(HBL) in 200 ml pack,  is one of them. The rich creamy lotion makes your skin soft and smooth. The HBL promises a 30 hour moisture, which actually stays on your skin till you wash it away. You can feel the velvety touch for the whole day. I apply the lotion on my legs and feet before leaving from home. In evening when I wash my feet, I actually feel the lotion washing out then. My feet stays moisturized the entire day!

What I loved- SPF protection, no fragrance, non sticky/greasy, can apply makeup over it, skin looks younger and smoother after continuous use.Packaging is beautiful but not fancy. The price is much lower than competition brands. Avon's Solutions Youth Minerals is worth the money you spend!

Night Cream- Now I have coupled the day cream with night cream as well. Its working really well. Night creams are equally important as day creams. This is because the derma cells which were damaged during the day, your skin repairs them at night, for which it needs a boost of moisturizing and repair treatment. Youth Minerals night cream helps restore the skin's youth, reduces spots/lines and skin feels softer & firmer. Within 2 weeks skin feels dramatically healthy, clear and refreshed.

What I loved- Non greasy, absorbs quickly, no fragrance, beautiful packaging, effectively works on skin for quick result.  The pale purple cream is available in 50gm pack.

The only thing that I think could be improved is the container size. Though it is compact, yet a 50gm jar made of sturdy glass tends to be heavy while carrying in your bag everyday. The fact that unlike other brands, this comes in glass packaging and not plastic pack,reducing the chances of any chemical reaction to the minimum.

I bought Avon's Naturals Sparkling Pear and Acai Juicy Moisture Hand & Body Lotion- 200 ml

I love the natural flavors of Avon Sparkling Pear and Acai Naturals Hand & Body Lotions. Today when the market is flooded with variety of products that claim big on technology and ingredients, Naturals, as a sub brand of Avon is different. I gave it a try because I love natural ingredients and products with less or mild chemicals. Avon Naturals just fits into my requirement.

The Sparkling Pear and Acai flavoured body lotion smells too good. The fragrance is neither strong nor light. The former means less harsh chemicals, which is exactly what I wanted. Too strong a fragrance also causes headache to me at times.

The light texture of the lotion off white in color. The lotion feels light weight and gets easily absorbed onto your skin. Skin does not feel oily or heavy at all. The fragrance does not remain on skin for long, which is okay for me, as long as it moisturizes skin for long. The lotion is soothing and can be used daily on arms and legs. It keeps your skin smooth and nourished. The back panel of the lotion does not show acai as one of the extracts, yet presence of glycerin, mineral oil and pear extract solves the purpose for me. Pear extract is known to lighten skin tone and controls oil on skin.

The packaging is nice. The green label showing acai and pear as ingredients are apt and absolutely give this a natural look. The 200 ml pack is priced at Rs 189 which is economical. Compared with other brands, Avon products are priced less and there are high chances that you buy them at lesser offer prices! Its a fairly priced product.

My skin feels soothed after applying the refreshing HBL. This was a perfect treat for my skin during summers. However, I may not buy this during winters, as skin needs more moisturization and heavy textured HBL.

What I liked-

• Light weight texture
• Presence of pear extract
• Gives smooth and moisturized skin
• Fairly priced

What I missed

• No SPF
• Fragrance does not stay long, unlike other brands.
